The Center for Teacher Effectiveness (Time To Teach) is expanding its national consultant network and invites applications from accomplished education professionals.

About the organization. Established 1993. More than 400,000 educators served across all 50 states in PK-12 public, private, and charter settings, with additional work in colleges and universities. A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau. Program components trace back to work developed with guidance from Dr. Madeline Hunter of UCLA.

Position summary. Consultants deliver the organization's established professional development programs to schools, districts, and education conferences. All curricula, materials, and delivery training are supplied by the company.

Requirements:

  1. 1. Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a related field
  2. 2. Substantial K-12 experience as a teacher, administrator, counselor, professor, coach, or education consultant (current or retired)
  3. 3. Demonstrated excellence presenting to adult professional audiences
  4. 4. Self-direction and impeccable professionalism appropriate to an independent contractor

Compensation. Commission based. Per-day earnings for training engagements begin at $1,000 and regularly exceed that amount. This is a 1099 arrangement; earnings correspond to the volume of training an individual consultant delivers. Consultants may retain existing employment.
